The World Body Painting 2020 posponed.

For more information, follow the festival's social networks on Instagram and Facebook with continuous updates.

This presidential color event that has been held without interruption until now, closes its doors this year but we will be with renewed energy and eager to share all the art and color for the World Body Painting Festival in Klagenfurt, Austria from 15 to July 17, 2021.

POST from World Body Painting Festival in Facebook  April 7, 2020 at 15:42

Celebrate with us in 2021

Dear World Bodypainting Festival participants and lovers,
Due to the Corona Covid-19 Crisis we are forced to postpone the 23rd edition of the WBF to 2021. Below a statement, please stay with us and celebrate visual culture and music next year!

Since September 2019 we have been working with a lot of passion to plan the 23rd edition of the World Bodypainting Festival. With great joy and confidence, we looked forward to the upcoming edition and to welcoming artists from all over the world to Carinthia, in the south of Austria. We wanted to celebrate visual culture and music with the world’s best bodypainting and make-up artists. I should have been a creative and peaceful festival week in Klagenfurt.

The current difficult times force us to make decisions that are not easy for us. As in many countries around the world, measures are currently being taken to prevent a further spread of the Corona Covid19 virus, including Austria. On April 6, the federal government announced that, at least until the end of June, NO events and meetings may take place in public spaces. Further evaluation is ongoing and we only know later under what conditions there will be events allowed from July onwards. On the one hand, statements are too vague; on the other hand, the situation in many countries is much more difficult, so that travel may not even be possible as usual until well into the summer.

We are 100% behind the actions of the government and the health of all participants and visitors, sponsors and partners as well as of course the entire festival crew has top priority in all of our considerations. The internationality also owes the information at the current time, without waiting.

We, therefore, announce that the 23rd World Bodypainting Festival will be postponed to next year, from July 11-17, 2021. The main days will take place from July 15th to 17th, 2021 in the Goethepark Klagenfurt.
We have had many changes and decisions to make within the 23 years of our festival history, but we have never been forced to make such. The postponement to July 11-17, 2021 brings also a new challenge. We ask for your patience, as we send you all further information and procedures in the upcoming days.

Ticket transparency: All tickets, festival passes or workshop bookings remain fully valid for 2021. For the desired refunds, especially through our two ticket partners Oeticket and Paylogic, we will make an effort to get going immediately.

Together we will master this situation and make the #wbfestival2021 the most creative World Bodypainting Festival ever!

We thank you for your understanding - be sure the decision is not an easy one but in the sense of OUR HEALTH the right one!
